Meet Dani and Jordan
A bookworm and a Magic: The Gathering nerd walk into a wedding
We're Dani and Jordan, the husband-and-wife team behind RFP Wedding Photography in Fort Worth.
Here's who you're actually hiring.
How a mountain biker ended up at your wedding
Jordan started this business as a hobby, shooting mountain bike races. A few friends from the trails asked him to photograph their weddings. He said yes and figured out pretty fast that he loved it.
Then there's me. I came on to help with the business side of things. Emails, contracts, spreadsheets. Somehow I ended up with a camera in my hand every weekend, and I'm still not totally sure how that happened.
It only took a few weddings for us to learn how the other one thinks.
Now this business is the thing we're building together.
Meet Jordan
Jordan is our tech guy. Before photography he worked in IT and cybersecurity, so he has researched every camera and lens on the planet. Twice.
He reads light fast, whether it's a sunny field or a dark reception hall, and he knows exactly where to add lighting to make a photo feel cinematic. One of his favorite weddings had a bride in a black dress, and he got to build moody, dramatic lighting around it. He also runs the sparkler exit. That takes lighting know-how and a real knack for getting a crowd that's been partying for six hours to follow directions.
Jordan pays attention to how the bride is feeling all day. If nerves start creeping in, he’s the one who gets you laughing again. And if anyone brings stress your way, they get redirected. He’s always got a water (or a whiskey) ready.
He loves video games and Magic: The Gathering, and he'll poke fun at himself if it gets a laugh. It's probably why groomsmen keep telling us he felt like one of the guys.
Also, if you ever get a text so misspelled you think it was typed with someone's elbow, that was Jordan.
Meet Dani
Hi, it's me. I've been a bookworm my whole life and have a bachelor's in creative writing, which is why I care way too much about sentences. (Two commas max. It's a rule.)
I'm the methodical one. I come in with a plan for every part of your day, I notice the small details, and I handle all of our communication. When you email us, you're getting me.
Jordan calls me the bride's built-in bestie for the big day. I'll take it.
Why two of us beats one
01
Two cameras means two angles on every big moment. While Jordan catches your face during the vows, I'm catching your partner's. Or your grandma's happy crying. Both matter.
02
After enough weddings together, we can coordinate without saying a word. One look across the dance floor is a whole conversation.
(We can both do all of it. We just each have a favorite.)
03
We also see things differently, in the best way. Jordan reads the light fast and leans toward big, wide, epic frames. I'm all about finding your most flattering angles and the close, quiet moments. We trade cameras all day, and we can still tell who took which shot when we sit down to edit.
You get both.
"The best part was watching them work together: they listen to each other, build on each other's ideas, and bring visions to life in real time. You can feel that partnership in the photos."

The part we didn't expect to love
We thought wedding photography meant taking pictures. Turns out it's a lot more than that.
We help keep the timeline on track and move everyone from one part of the day to the next. We make sure nobody misses the cake cutting because they got stuck in a family photo marathon. We love being part of a handpicked vendor team that pulls the whole day off together.
Watching a day come together exactly the way a couple pictured it? That's the best part of the job.

You might know us as Red Family Photo. Same people, same cameras, shorter name.
Want to hang out?
Couples tell us all the time that they want to hang out with us after the wedding. Let's start with a call and see if you agree.
